With an accident simulation, this Friday marked the “World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims,” with the aim of raising awareness of this pandemic, which leaves 1.3 million dead and more than 50 million injured each year, according to figures from international organizations cited by the security officials who presided over the event at Parque Cuscatlan in San Salvador. In El Salvador, a total of 55 accidents are reported every day, with three fatalities and an average of 221 injured people. Comandos de Salvamento participated in a simulation in support of the Policía Nacional Civil, the Ministry of Public Works, and the Ministry of Health, which presided over the event. Comandos de Salvamento demonstrated their response capabilities for handling accident cases with their medical and vehicle-rescue brigades. Photos CDS.
