Traffic accidents are being reported daily due to driver recklessness and excessive speed.

On Thursday afternoon, on the Army Boulevard near Cárcel de Mujeres, a vehicle transporting soft drinks collided with a route 140 minibus traveling from San Martín to San Salvador, forcing it off the road and nearly sending it down a small slope.

Despite the impact, none of the passengers was injured, but the crash caused traffic congestion in the area.

Minutes later, on the Northern Trunk Highway at kilometer 7, two vehicles transporting products collided in the same lane from Apopa to San Salvador, leaving one person trapped and suffering trauma.

Members of the Comandos de Salvamento Rescue Unit freed the victim, who was subsequently admitted to a healthcare center for recovery.

Comandos de Salvamento asks drivers to respect speed limits and traffic signs to prevent further tragedies during this pandemic, which has kept the country in distress.
