Rubia is elected by the members as President of Comandos de Salvamento.

For the first time in the 60 years of Comandos de Salvamento’s existence, a woman has assumed the Presidency of the Association’s Board of Directors—a female volunteer who has worn Comandos’ colors for 27 years.

Now, Rubia Guadalupe Palacios de Clímaco, 50, a graduate in Education Sciences, specializing in Early Childhood Education, joins the Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento, which held an assembly to elect its new authorities for the 2020–2022 period.

Comandos de Salvamento, a public-service institution at the service of the Salvadoran people, reached 60 years of service last September 30; consequently, it elected its new leaders, who will head the organization for two years.

The slate has been formed as follows: President: Rubia Guadalupe Palacios de Clímaco; Vice President: Roberto Miranda; Trustee: David Martínez; Secretary: Luis Adalberto Canales Colato; and Assistant Secretary: Roberto Joaquín Márquez.

In addition, the following delegates will serve as board members: Julio Aquino, from Antiguo Cuscatlán; Alexander Zepeda, from El Congo; and Carlos González, from Tecoluca.

The new members of the Board of Directors were sworn in by outgoing Vice President Francisco Campos.
