Comandos de Salvamento rescuers rescue pets abandoned in areas affected by Eta.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento arrived in Choloma, Honduras, where they delivered some of the food packages sent by President Nayib Bukele to the area affected by Eta.

In addition to helping the population, Comandos de Salvamento rescued some dogs that were in areas isolated by the floodwaters and had not been evacuated along with their owners. However, the rescuers managed to bring them to safety.

Comandos de Salvamento was part of the contingent of Salvadoran rescuers, army personnel, firefighters, police officers, doctors, and nurses who arrived in the areas damaged by Hurricane Eta and delivered food packages to those affected.

The Honduran people thanked President Nayib Bukele for the kind gesture and for the assistance of specialized personnel in aquatic rescue, as well as air transport.

The contingent that traveled to Honduras is expected to arrive in El Salvador tomorrow around noon, and each member will return to their bases or delegations from which they departed, while remaining on alert due to the approach of Tropical Storm Iota, which could reach Honduran and Nicaraguan territory late Sunday afternoon or evening.

Dogs were fed.

Evacuations carried out in villages in Choloma, Honduras.
