WAKE FOR YOUNG RESCUER IN CIUDAD ARCE

Members of the Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento arrived at the Ciudad Arce branch to accompany the remains of young José Eduardo Ramírez Fuentes, who died in a heroic act while saving the lives of two people who had been involved in a traffic accident.

Minutes after the Comandos de Salvamento rescuer stabilized the victims, his heart suffered cardiopulmonary arrest. Cruz Verde personnel performed CPR several times; however, José Eduardo did not regain vital signs.

José Eduardo’s colleagues waited from the early hours for the remains to arrive at the Comandos de Salvamento headquarters in Ciudad Arce, so they could say goodbye to their great friend, who was one of the founders of the Comandos. In the afternoon, he was taken to his home, from where he will depart for the general cemetery of Ciudad Arce.

Roberto Cruz, Executive Director of Comandos de Salvamento, expressed his condolences to José Eduardo’s family and colleagues, in addition to recognizing the spirit of service to others that the rescuer dedicated during his four years of service.
