Comandos de Salvamento assigned nearly two thousand young volunteers to assist domestic and foreign tourists during the Holy Week season, which left 5 people dead and 70 traffic accidents.

Among the deceased people assisted by Comandos de Salvamento, there were deaths by drowning, one in a traffic accident, and another by gunshot. In addition, traffic-accident response covered more than half a hundred people injured in road collisions.

Lifeguards from Comandos de Salvamento carried out more than one hundred rescues, both simple and deep-water, at the various beaches and tourist centers where the lifeguards were deployed.

First-aid posts installed in several locations provided assistance to vacationers, providing pre-hospital care in minor cases, while the more serious cases were referred to various healthcare centers.

Comandos de Salvamento, a humanitarian organization, once again says Mission Accomplished to the Salvadoran people.

The Board of Directors thanked each of its volunteer members of Comandos de Salvamento for the effort and dedication they provide during every emergency.
