Traffic accidents continue to cause mourning among Salvadoran families, with distracted driving and the abuse of alcoholic beverages being among the main causes.
In recent hours, Comandos de Salvamento has provided pre-hospital assistance to several drivers who have suffered road accidents. One of the serious accidents occurred Monday afternoon on the road from Santa Ana to San Salvador, near Cantón La Joya, where 4 people were injured.
Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento of Ciudad Arce went to the scene to assist the injured, among them two minors and two adults, who were taken to the FOSALUD facility.
On Carretera Troncal del Norte, a motorcyclist suffered trauma to his lower limbs. Comandos de Salvamento stabilized him and transported him to a medical center.
Comandos de Salvamento recommends respecting traffic signs and not exceeding the speed limits established by law.
