SUCCESSFUL WOMEN OF NEW YORK IN BERLIN

The boys and girls of Cantón San Lorenzo, in Berlin, could not contain their amazement and happiness, as Christmas arrived early. With their hearts full of joy, they eagerly awaited the arrival of the Successful Women of New York group at the foot of the sector’s Hermita.

Gina Bolaños, Founding President of Successful Women of New York, opened the festivities, where more than 200 boys and girls awaited the toys they had brought for everyone. There was also a piñata-breaking activity, animated by Carlos Lima, who joined them from the city of Chalchuapa.

The boys and girls formed a line one by one to collect the food and later picked up their toy, which they had to choose from among the mountain of gifts. Some selected cars, balls, and airplanes, while the girls chose paints to play with, kitchen sets, and doctor sets—in short, something these children had imagined having this Christmas.

Mercedes Serrano, delegate of Comandos de Salvamento in Berlin, thanked the Successful Women of New York for their noble gesture in bringing joy to boys and girls from low-income families. The Successful Women of New York were also surprised with a special T-shirt, which they wore during the activity and which was sponsored by Miradores Jey and Paradise.

Óscar Alvarado, President of the ADESCO of Cantón San Lorenzo, also thanked them for helping his community, which has often been forgotten, but which was now favored with the gifts and clothing delivered to its residents.

Successful Women of New York, in addition to bringing joy with toys to boys and girls in the eastern part of the country, will visit Colegio Divina Providencia and the Hogar de Ancianos Asilo Sara Zaldivar, where they will make important donations.

Successful Women of New York is a nonprofit organization made up of Ecuadorian, Colombian, and Dominican women, as well as Salvadoran Mayra Rivera.
