Comandos de Salvamento of Ciudad Arce participate in Plan Castor by cleaning the Agua Fría River.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador is participating alongside Government entities in the cleaning of rivers and ravines, which is part of Plan Castor and seeks to prevent water overflow during the approaching rainy season.

During the past week, Protección Civil authorities warned of the passage of a tropical wave, as well as a low-pressure system that would affect the country. However, this atmospheric phenomenon arrived with low intensity.

Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento of Ciudad Arce joined the efforts to clean the Agua Fría River, where accumulated garbage was removed so that the water could flow freely during storms and thereby prevent overflow and endangering the lives of nearby families.

Delegations of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador from the eastern part of the country are also assisting with removing trees that obstruct access routes to the colonias and cantones.

Comandos de Salvamento of Berlín remove a tree blown down by winds accompanying the rain.
