José Eliazar Palomo Luna was a volunteer with Comandos de Salvamento in El Salvador at the Alegría branch in Usulután for more than 20 years.
José Eliazar arrived as a young man to take first-aid courses and was subsequently trained in the different areas of prehospital care, vertical rescue, and others, where he acquired specialties and skills that he put into practice during his volunteer service.
In recent years, José Eliazar became part of the Police Corporation, where he belonged to a Specialized Unit of the Policía Nacional Civil, PNC. He stood out in his performance and, during his free time, made arrangements to take shifts as a rescuer with Comandos de Salvamento in El Salvador, at the Alegría branch, where his brother is also a member.
Last Saturday, José Eliazar’s remains were taken to the town’s church, to depart in a caravan accompanied by his colleagues from the Police and Comandos de Salvamento in El Salvador, to his final resting place, where his body will rest in the general cemetery of Alegría, Usulután.
