Hydraulic equipment was delivered to the Alegría delegation for use alongside the delegations in the eastern zone to assist in vehicle rescues.

Patricia Iraheta, representative of Norwegian People’s Aid, APN, delivered vertical and vehicle rescue equipment valued at more than 40 thousand dollars, which will improve emergency services.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, an entity that has been supported by Norwegian People’s Aid, APN, since the 1980s, has benefited from this entity’s contributions to provide training in the different emergency-response areas faced by the country.

Patricia Iraheta emphasized that APN will continue providing support in everything related to health matters and enabling them to provide effective assistance during emergencies caused by nature and by humans.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, an institution with more than 62 years of existence and 30 branches, is assigning hydraulic equipment to respond to traffic-accident emergencies in the eastern zone. The equipment will be operated by personnel from the Alegría branch, who will respond and provide support to the Berlín, Jucuapa, and Chinameca branches.

Members of the Board of Directors and Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador thanked Norwegian People’s Aid, APN, for the donation, which strengthens the work of the 14 branches that received the new vertical and vehicle rescue equipment.
