Rescuers spent time with the students.

Students from Centro Escolar San Lorenzo, in Sensuntepeque, Cabañas, visited the headquarters of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Sensuntepeque branch, this morning to learn firsthand about the volunteers’ work.

Accompanied by teachers and some parents, the students were welcomed by rescuers, who showed them some of the work carried out during each emergency. In addition, the children listened to and observed how the siren that announces each emergency works, so that vehicles can clear the way.

The students from the early grades of Centro Escolar San Lorenzo boarded the ambulance and learned about some of the equipment available in the ambulances, including the stretcher, first-aid kits, and vehicle and vertical rescue equipment.

After several minutes, the students took photographs to have a pleasant memento of their visit to Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.
