1960, in Villa Delgado, marked the moment when a group of young people founded what is now Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, which for years has stood out in its humanitarian and emergency work throughout the national territory.
Despite the difficulties in the early years of its existence, its founders never gave up their great spirit of service toward others. They demonstrated their good deeds during the May 1965 earthquake, Hurricane Fifi, and other events that caused extensive damage to the population.
Now, 2023 has highlighted the difference made by these young people, most of them volunteers, who dedicate their free time to helping people who suffer any kind of mishap. Men and women admired for their sacrifice and great hearts in assisting during emergency situations.
Volunteers who are trained in the different areas for which they receive instruction from the best instructors, demonstrating every day why Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador are the first to be present in every emergency.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador reached 63 years of existence, and in an elegant parade through the capital’s streets, its volunteers marched while being applauded by the population, who expressed their gratitude for its existence.
The Board of Directors and Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador thanked the Association of United Salvadorans of Texas, represented by Wilber Tejada; Cooperativa CACTIUSA; Sopas Laky; Econored; Foodtech; Cajas de Crédito San Martín; El Centro Hace Click; Pastelería La Fuente in New York; COMSEDI S.A. de C.V.; Mr. Adrián Bernardo Pineda Guardado; and all the people who made this great celebration possible.
