The Executive Director of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Roberto Cruz, with the support of the institution’s Board of Directors, recently inaugurated the Prehospital Care course intended for the branch offices in the western part of the country.
More than 30 young rescuers aspire to advance in the field of advanced first aid in order to provide better care to the Salvadoran population in the event of workplace accidents, accidents at home, or traffic accidents.
This training has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of Norwegian Popular Aid, APN, which provides support to carry out educational campaigns for volunteers. In addition, the private sector has also contributed funds to cover part of the event’s logistics.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador constantly trains its personnel so they can acquire better knowledge, both in prehospital care and in vertical and vehicle rescue.
It should also be noted that courses in intravenous therapy and emergency childbirth are provided, where personnel receive theoretical instruction and practice with high-tech simulation equipment to achieve the best results among the students.
For the Christmas and New Year season, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador seeks to provide the best emergency service to the Salvadoran population in all emergencies that may arise.
