Members of the Vehicle Rescue Unit of the Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador in Ciudad Arce assisted a young woman this morning who was traveling in a minibus near kilometer 32 of the Pan-American Highway, heading from Santa Ana to San Salvador.
According to reports, the minibus driver became distracted and crashed into the rear of a truck that was parked on the side of the highway with apparent mechanical problems.
The victim was traveling in the front next to the driver and became trapped by one of her lower limbs, so the rescuers used hydraulic equipment to free her and take her to Hospital San Rafael, in Santa Tecla, to rule out fractures.
