Responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador are assisting at a traffic accident on kilometer 34 of the highway from San Salvador to Comalapa, leaving at least 15 people injured.

The injured, who are members of Iglesia El Alfarero, were traveling to San Miguel after participating in a religious activity in San Salvador. At around eight at night, the vehicle’s driver did not notice that a vehicle had stopped on the highway and, in order to avoid a collision, lost control and crashed into a tree.

The injured were taken to medical centers on an emergency basis in coordination with other first-response entities. Meanwhile, others were treated at the scene of the road accident.

Meanwhile, responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Sensuntepeque branch, are assisting at a traffic accident near Río Caña, between San Isidro and Santa Lucía, where the driver of a pickup truck crashed into a tree after losing control of the vehicle.

Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador worked for several minutes to free the vehicle’s driver, who had become trapped among the twisted metal.

After being freed, the driver had to be taken to a medical center on an emergency basis due to the severity of his injuries.

A second victim, who was riding in the rear of the pickup truck, was taken to the hospital in delicate condition.
