For many years, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador have been characterized by providing assistance to the Catholic and Evangelical Community during various commemorative events for Holy Week.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, an organization founded in 1960, has participated in various activities, but its strength lies in providing coverage for different emergencies, especially in the areas of vehicle and vertical rescue, where it has highly trained personnel in this field.

However, for many years, the authorities of the Catholic Church have trusted Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador to participate in responsibilities such as the Transfiguration of the Divine Savior of the World, where they have been entrusted with carrying the urn containing the image of the Patron Saint of the capital’s residents.

During Holy Week, many congregations request the collaboration of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador to accompany them during various religious events. In Juayúa, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador volunteers carry the image of Triumphant Jesus as part of the assigned activities.

In addition, various churches request the cooperation of the rescuers, such as the authorities of the Altar de Dios Church in Quezaltepeque, whose Youth Ministry organizes a hike with the young members of this church, whose final destination is Poza Acapulco, in Cantón Platanillo, in the same municipality.

In this way, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador participate not only in various emergency-response operations, but also in religious activities.
