More than one hundred young volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador accompanied the various gatherings and marches held for International Workers’ Day, celebrated every May 1.
Various popular organizations and unions commemorate this day with a march that began at Plaza del Divino Salvador del Mundo and reached Plaza Gerardo Barrios, in the center of the Salvadoran capital.
Another march began at Redondel Torogoz and concluded in front of Redondel México, where, after an event, the activities concluded. At this location, rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador provided assistance only to several people who experienced headaches.
Meanwhile, the march that set out from the monument to Divino Salvador del Mundo was attended by thousands of workers and concluded with a gathering, where prehospital assistance was provided to several people who experienced headaches and heat exhaustion; they were treated at the scene.
Furthermore, in Santa Ana, volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador were invited to the inauguration ceremony of Mayor Gustavo Acevedo, who, in the presence of authorities and the public, was once again sworn in to serve a new term as mayor of the heroic city.
