In addition to responding to traffic and workplace accident emergencies, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador provides coverage at Liga Mayor games to assist players who suffer injuries during sporting events.

The volunteers also provide coverage in the different areas of the stadiums where fans are seated.

One of the greatest tragedies suffered in national soccer occurred in May of the previous year, when 12 people died and more than 100 were injured during a stampede.

In response, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assigns its responders whenever they are requested by the various sports clubs.
