Carlos Fuentes, spokesperson, and Roberto Cruz, executive director of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, announce emergency plan #SalvaTuVida during a press conference.

The executive directorate of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, together with spokesperson Carlos Fuentes, announced the #SalvaTuVida emergency plan, which will begin this August 1 as part of the August festivities.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will assign nearly 150 young volunteers, including rescuers, emergency medical technicians, physicians, and rescue workers, to provide coverage for the Correos parade, which will depart from Plaza Beethoven in Colonia Escalón and travel along Alameda Roosevelt to Parque Cuscatlán.

The plan also includes coverage of the Fairgrounds, which will be set up around Estadio Cuscatlán, where a first-aid station will be available to attend to national and foreign tourists suffering from any ailment.

Roberto Cruz, executive director, stated at the press conference that they will also participate in the Comercio parade next August 3. They will take part in one of the largest religious activities, the traditional descent of the Divine Savior of the World, this August 5, where nearly 20 ambulances and more than two hundred volunteers will be deployed to provide assistance to worshippers.

For his part, Carlos Fuentes noted that Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will have vehicle rescue units on the country’s main highways, as well as lifeguards at the main beaches to ensure the safety of vacationers.

With its #SalvaTuVida emergency plan, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador hopes that the public will follow the necessary recommendations to prevent any tragedy.

Members of the Rescue Unit remain beside the hydraulic equipment used to free people trapped in traffic accidents.
