FIRE AT APOPA MARKET

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador responded early Sunday morning to assist the Cuerpo de Bomberos in controlling the flames that consumed several stalls inside the Apopa municipal market.

The flames, which could be seen from several blocks away, alarmed residents and the owners of businesses around the market. However, the prompt intervention of the Cuerpo de Bomberos, Comandos de Salvamento, and other entities brought the fire under control.

For several minutes, the volunteers helped the firefighters enter the commercial establishment and, in this way, extinguish the flames that affected several stalls.

At the conclusion of the firefighting operation, no personal injuries were reported, only property damage resulting in substantial losses.
