This Tuesday, October 21, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador joined the National Earthquake Drill organized by Protección Civil de El Salvador, with the aim of strengthening response capabilities in the event of earthquakes.

Our delegations throughout the country actively participated in the exercise, coordinating and verifying evacuation procedures at schools and offices. Emergency situations, such as fainting and injuries, were simulated to assess the response of trained personnel and the effectiveness of evacuation plans.

The Sacacoyo Delegation conducted first-aid training prior to the evacuation of Centro Escolar Buena Vista, with the participation of 40 students. Meanwhile, the Berlín branch safely evacuated Centro Escolar Meardi.

The evaluation at Centro Cultural Salvadoreño was successful, where the institute’s medical personnel treated a patient with a fracture until the patient was stabilized and transferred to a medical facility.

All Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador delegations, together with the central headquarters, are working in the drill, which aims to strengthen response capabilities through the community’s advance preparation for a large-scale emergency.

If you are in El Salvador, consider joining us, or if you are abroad, donate to support these missions.
