Patricia Iraheta, representative of Norwegian People’s Aid, APN, delivered the equipment to the delegates.

Members of the Board of Directors and executive management of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador delivered supplies and equipment on Saturday morning to delegates from the various chapters so they could respond to emergencies during the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Patricia Iraheta, representative of Norwegian People’s Aid, APN, in the Central American region, expressed the satisfaction of the members of the Nordic organization at being able to finance equipment and supplies for the various chapters of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.

The Christmas and New Year holidays represent the greatest workload, with traffic accidents, burn injuries, fires, and other emergencies promptly attended by the young rescuers.

The new diving unit of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador received tanks so that personnel can remain safe at depth, as well as masks and other equipment that will be very useful in carrying out their duties.

The search and rescue unit received a drone donation so it can be used to locate and assess areas where danger exists before carrying out vertical rescues.

The thirty delegates received rigid stretchers, trauma kits, oxygen tanks, emergency supplies, among other equipment used daily in the emergencies they handle.

The Board of Directors and executive management of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador thanked Patricia Iraheta of APN for continuing to finance projects that help improve the pre-hospital care provided to the Salvadoran population.
