More than 150 older adults walked through the facilities of Parque Cuscatlán.

This morning Comandos de Salvamento participated in the “Steps of Gold” activity held by the Central Baptist Biblical Tabernacle, with the “Le Mejor Edad” ministry, where hundreds of older adults took part in the walk.

The activity took place at the facilities of Parque Cuscatlán in San Salvado, where at around eight in the morning more than one hundred fifty older adults who are members of the “La Mejor Edad” Ministry got off the buses that transported them to begin the walk.

Comandos de Salvamento closely followed the groups formed to complete the 500-meter and 1,500-meter routes that they walked inside the park, arriving one by one at the finish line, where a hydrating beverage awaited them.

The canes and prostheses did not matter; they accompanied one another in pairs so they could complete the entire route, smiling and enjoying nature. There was applause after Sister Paty López Bertrand presented each participant with their medal for having completed the route.

Pastor Jorge Aguirre, director of the “La Mejor Edad” Ministry, specially thanked Comandos de Salvamento for the service it is providing to the church by accompanying activities and remaining alert to any emergency.
