David Martínez, Efraín Solís and Roberto Cruz, members of the Board of Directors and executive directorate of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, receive the three units to convert them into ambulances.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador received this morning, from Miss Evelyn Barillas of DIDEA El Salvador, the keys to the vans that will be modified into ambulances to serve the population.

The new units were made possible by a donation from the Cooperation of the Embassy of Japan through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (APCS) program, which deemed worthy the work that Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador has been carrying out for more than 60 years in responding to emergencies.

The minibuses will be modified to install stretchers, compartments, sirens, and the emergency lighting system. One of these units will be assigned to the Juayúa delegation, in the Department of Sonsonate.

Another will go to the Guazapa delegation in the northern part of the country, where coverage is provided for accidents on the Troncal del Norte highway and its surroundings. The San Miguel Tepezontes section will also receive the final unit to serve its population.

The Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador expressed its special gratitude for the donation provided by the Cooperation of the Embassy of Japan through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (APCS) program, as it will provide better service to the Salvadoran population.
