The volunteers of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador, who were part of the contingent sent by Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, returned to the country after completing their work in Venezuela, which was affected by the double earthquake.
Ten rescuers, in groups of five, supported the search and rescue efforts for victims in the areas most affected by the earthquakes. In addition, the volunteers were part of the groups that provided assistance to the boys and girls who suffered and lost their parents, through games as part of psychological therapy.
The five rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador ultimately supported the guidance of people who sought consultation for various ailments at the Field Hospital sent by President Nayib Bukele.
In addition, pets received care thanks to the veterinarians who accompanied the Salvadoran Humanitarian Mission.
After nearly a month, the Salvadoran rescuers, doctors, nurses, and other members of the contingents returned to the country to reunite with their families.
Members of the Board of Directors and executive leadership of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador received the volunteers tonight as they returned to the central headquarters, where they gave them special thanks for the valuable contribution they provided to their Venezuelan brothers and sisters.
