The new members who form part of the second contingent of humanitarian aid sent by President Nayib Bukele are already working in different areas of the zones devastated by the double earthquake on June 24.
Among those newly called by President Nayib Bukele were two young women who are members of the Search and Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento, already assigned to the search for survivors, as even after eleven days, people have still been found alive.
Meanwhile, others are supporting the psychological care system for the children staying in the shelters, providing them with assistance and games to distract them and help them overcome the trauma suffered.
The volunteers of Comandos de Salvamento from El Salvador maintain the spirit of humanitarian service that has characterized them in our country, and they have been warmly welcomed among the Salvadoran population.
But now they are assisting children who lost everything, and sharing a little joy with our fellow nationals has been possible thanks to the support of President Nayib Bukele, who once again sent rescuers, along with five additional tons of food and medicine, to the South American nation.
The Board of Directors and executive management of Comandos de Salvamento from El Salvador especially thank the volunteer members who have returned to the country after completing the first humanitarian aid mission in Venezuela.
