SEVERAL INJURED IN WEEKEND ACCIDENTS

During the past weekend, rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador attended a series of traffic accidents at different locations throughout the country.

The traffic incidents involved motorcyclists who skidded or collided with vehicles, leaving several people injured. They were treated at the accident scene or taken to medical centers.

One of the cases attended involved David Edgardo Portes Girón, 40, who overturned while traveling on the road to Lourdes, Colón, causing only material damage.

A motorcyclist skidded at kilometer 18 of the road to Los Chorros, together with his passenger. Both suffered significant injuries and were taken to the Social Security hospital in Santa Tecla.

The victims were identified as Brayan Elizar, 21, and Leticia Stefany Morán, 27.

Meanwhile, minutes later, at the same kilometer 18, a young man was struck by a vehicle, causing serious injuries to Erick Humberto Martínez, 22, who was taken to a medical center.

On the Eastern Pan-American Highway, at kilometer 25 near Colonia San Judas, in Quezaltepeque, a female motorcyclist collided with the rear of a car.

The victim, identified as Karen Cornejo, 33, had trauma to her left lower limb, making it necessary to take her to a hospital.

Meanwhile, Josué Israel Rodríguez Escobar, 27, was assisted after losing control of his motorcycle. The incident occurred on the road from San Salvador to Santa Ana.

Two more motorcyclists were injured after losing control of the motorcycle on which they were traveling along the Calle of Cantón Zacamil Tutultepeque, in Guazapa.

The victims suffered serious injuries and were taken to a medical center.

And on the road to Los Planes de Renderos, at kilometer 7, a motorcyclist crashed into a wall while avoiding a dog, suffering trauma to different parts of his body. It was necessary to take him to a hospital.

Two people, a man and a woman, were injured after losing control of the motorcycle on which they were traveling as they reached a curve and collided with a median.

This accident occurred on the Calle to Monserrat, near Colonia La Málaga in Barrio Santa Anita.

On the other hand, a motorcycle rider suffered a health complication that caused him to faint and subsequently collide with a private vehicle. The vehicle’s driver was also injured because the motorcycle struck the driver’s door.

This accident occurred on the road to Los Planes de Renderos at kilometer 8, near Casa de Piedra.

Both injured people were assisted by Comandos de Salvamento and admitted to Saldaña Hospital.

In Juayúa, Department of Sonsonate, a traffic accident was attended to at 1.ª Calle Poniente and 4.ª Avenida Norte.

At the scene, a motorcyclist was injured after being struck laterally by a private vehicle. Due to his trauma, he was taken to Hospital Jorge Mazzini in Sonsonate.
