Julio César Orellana Belloso was one of the young doctors who joined Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador in 2000, following the emergencies that occurred day after day in our country.
Serving with a strong spirit of dedication, Dr. Julio Orellana, as he was known within Comandos de Salvamento, treated every patient, working alongside his beloved wife, Dr. Margarita de Orellana, who attended the medical campaigns.
One of the international organizations with which Dr. Orellana collaborated was Doctors of the Americas, with whom he formed a friendship lasting more than 20 years. Dr. Andrew Badulak and his wife Stephanie always sought his help to provide coverage for the medical campaigns that come to the country year after year.
Dr. Julio César Orellana Belloso served in Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador for twenty-five years at the general-care clinics at the central base. He was also part of the Government’s Medical Emergency System under President Nayib Bukele.
The Board of Directors and executive leadership of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador deeply mourn the irreparable loss of one of its best members, who was always willing to help provide medical assistance to anyone who needed it most.
