For the second consecutive day, the Doctors of the Americas traveled to Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, to the San Rafael Community, in the city of Puerto de La Libertad, where consultations began early in the morning.

The Comandos de Salvamento volunteers, together with Health Coordinator Rosa Arrué de Méndez, established the stations so that the Doctors of the Americas and institutional medical personnel could take their places and begin the health-care activities.

Women, elderly people, and children began arriving to find a place and have health professionals diagnose their ailments.

The Doctors of the Americas attended to the residents of San Rafael Community, in Puerto de La Libertad, diagnosing them and providing prescriptions so that the medications could be collected at the mobile pharmacy of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.

As in previous years, Stephanie Badulak set out clothing, shoes, sandals, stuffed animals, and toys to be given to patients after they collected their medications.

That is how part of the day unfolded, diagnosing each patient who came to the Sports Complex where the medical outreach event had been set up.

Rosa Arrué de Méndez stated that on Monday the Doctors of the Americas will be in the Barra Salada area to continue the Doctors of the Americas’ mission.

Approximately two hundred people received medical assistance.
Young members of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador helped U.S. physicians with the assistance.
One of the patients was referred to a medical center because of cardiac problems.
Clothing was given to patients after their consultations.
There were gifts for the children.
Children, women, and elderly people benefited.
