Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador provided assistance during the Postal Parade announcing the August festivities in honor of the Divine Savior of the World. The event departed from there, traveling along several thoroughfares until reaching Cuscatlán Park.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador made more than one hundred volunteers available to assist the thousands of Salvadorans who came to watch the great Postal Parade.
Entire families lined Alameda Roosevelt all the way to Cuscatlán Park, where Mayor Mario Durán and other authorities watched the performances and melodies of the peace bands, which delighted attendees with their musical instruments.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assisted at least five people who showed symptoms of sunstroke; they were treated by Medical Emergency Technicians so they could be stabilized.
Roberto Cruz, executive director of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, said they will request more personnel to provide better service during the Commerce Parade, which will take place this coming Saturday, August 3.
In addition, Cruz said that his emergency personnel are already stationed at the Fairgrounds, where a clinic has been set up to treat patients, as well as an ambulance to transport victims to healthcare centers.
