This post is also available in: Spanish Norwegian Bokmål French Chinese (Simplified) Japanese

Altruistic individuals and companies supported the work of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador.

After a week of intense rains that left 19 people dead and hundreds of people evacuated as a preventive measure, Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador wishes to thank each of its volunteers, who from the beginning of the emergency demonstrated their deep spirit of service.

To every woman, young person, rescuer, emergency responder, nurse, and doctor who were always willing to serve, leaving their families, children, and parents in order to help during the emergency, the Board of Directors and Executive Directorate extend our enormous gratitude.

To the people who, in one way or another, came to the headquarters of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador to donate food for the volunteers, and to the private company that opened its hands to enable us to continue our work. To the Special Forces Command of the Air Force, which shared food with the emergency responders.

To José Elías Escobar Romero, of Grupo La Fe, for donating fuel for the ambulances; to Los 3 Cerditos restaurant, which opened its doors to the personnel of the institutions that gave every minute of effort to help the Salvadoran people; to all of them, many thanks for their great hearts and for valuing in this way the work of each of the young volunteers.

To the Government of President Nayib Bukele for making shelters available to the people who were evacuated as a preventive measure, thereby saving the lives of hundreds of people living in vulnerable areas.
