Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Ciudad Arce chapter, held the 4th telethon last Sunday, with the goal this time of obtaining land on which to build their headquarters, since rent is currently too high.

The rescuers visited homes throughout cantons, hamlets, neighborhoods, and colonies, with the goal of raising the funds needed to provide the down payment for a lot where they can build their station, which provides emergency assistance to the people of Ciudad Arce.

The 4th Telethon was filled with cheerful clowns, as well as artists who contributed their part to help achieve the goal of the anonymous heroes in yellow who work covering traffic accidents that occur on the Pan-American Highway.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Ciudad Arce, will celebrate its eighth anniversary this June, having provided assistance to the population through its ambulance service, pre-hospital care, fumigation campaigns, and other services.

Its Delegate, Roberto Miranda, especially thanked the people of Ciudad Arce for contributing and, above all, for placing their trust in each of its volunteers. He also thanked the young broadcaster Carolina Hernández, from Radio La Mega 95.3 FM in Ciudad Arce, for being part of this event, which lasted 7 hours of love.
