Members of the Comandos Vertical Rescue Unit carried out the recovery.

An emergency call alerted members of the Comandos de Salvamento vertical rescue group this afternoon, from the Apopa branch, about a canine falling into a ravine in Colonia San Francisco, in that Municipio.

A group of rescuers arrived at the site, where they confirmed that, at the bottom of an approximately 15-meter ravine, the sound of a canine’s heartbeat could be heard. They proceeded to descend, where they were able to confirm that a one-year-old female dog was indeed there.

The canine was identified by her owners as Pinky Pinky, a one-year-old female dog, who was at the bottom of the ravine located near the Tomayate River, in Apopa.

Minutes later, the puppy was handed over to her owners, who stated that they would take her to a veterinarian to check her health.

Pinky Pinky survived the 15-meter fall into a ravine in Colonia San Francisco de Apopa.
