ONE DEAD, INJURED AND VEHICLES DESTROYED BY TRACTOR-TRAILER

Tuesday afternoon has been tragic due to a tractor-trailer traveling down Monseñor Romero Boulevard toward Los Próceres Boulevard that lost control, hitting more than thirty vehicles in its path.

Due to the impact, one of the drivers lost his life and is awaiting identification by the authorities from the Legal Medicine Institute and the Fiscalía. Meanwhile, the injured were evacuated by ambulances from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, the Red Cross, Cruz Verde, and FOSALUD to different medical centers.

In the road accident, several vehicles were destroyed due to the speed at which the out-of-control tractor-trailer was traveling, hitting the vehicles waiting to enter San Salvador via Monseñor Romero Boulevard.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador had to use its hydraulic equipment to free several drivers who were trapped among the wreckage of their cars. However, they were assisted and taken to medical centers.

At this time, it is unknown whether there are more deceased persons who were taken to nearby hospitals.
