Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador’s Santa Ana branch assisted French tourist Lison Humblot, 22, who suffered an injury while walking along 10th Avenida Norte between 3rd and 5th Calle Poniente in Santa Ana.
The young tourist sustained the injury to her left lower limb when a tension cable from a utility pole became embedded in it. The pole was damaged, and its wires caused the accident.
Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assisted the young French woman while representatives of AES CLESA arrived to cut the pole’s tension cable. She was subsequently taken to Hospital San Juan de Dios.
Doctors at the San Juan de Dios medical center in Santa Ana acted quickly and provided the tourist with medication to continue her treatment on an outpatient basis.
