In recent hours, rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento have responded to serious traffic accidents that have left mourning and pain in different parts of the country.
One of the accidents occurred early this morning on Alameda Juan Pablo II and bulevar Los Héroes, at the interchange in the commercial area, where the driver lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the safety barrier.
Comandos de Salvamento and its Vehicle Rescue Unit worked to free the driver, who had become trapped among the twisted metal of the car. Meanwhile, her passenger was transported to a medical center with multiple traumas to the body.
The rescuers used hydraulic equipment to free the woman, who had one of her lower limbs trapped among the vehicle’s metal. Minutes later, the woman was taken to a hospital.
Around one o’clock Monday afternoon, the emergency alarm was activated again, this time on the road leading from El Salvador International Airport to San Salvador, where the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into an electrical utility pole.
Comandos de Salvamento arrived at the scene to assist the five victims, including two adults and three minors who were traveling in the car.
Patients were evacuated in Comandos de Salvamento ambulances to different medical centers due to the severity of the traumas they sustained.
Comandos de Salvamento asks drivers to respect the established speed limits, avoid using cell phones, which cause distractions, and avoid alcoholic beverages, which have brought mourning to Salvadoran families.
Such was the case of a man who lost his life on the carretera de Oro last Saturday.
