DEAD AND TRAPPED IN ACCIDENT IN LA LIBERTAD

Comandos de Salvamento participated this morning in freeing a person who became trapped in a traffic accident that occurred on the highway leading to the Puerto de La Libertad, at the municipality of Zaragoza.

The road accident occurred when one of the vehicles collided with a cargo vehicle, causing one of them to catch fire, and the driver died.

The body of the driver of the burned vehicle was later recovered, charred, to be handed over to the authorities for legal identification.

Comandos de Salvamento of Antiguo Cuscatlán and Bomberos Nacionales managed to free the other driver, who was taken to a medical center with serious injuries.

The authorities have already cleared the road for vehicle traffic, which remained halted while the rescue operations were carried out.
