Two people traveling in a vehicle miraculously survived after it overturned on the road from Zacatecoluca to San Juan Nonualco, in the Departamento of La Paz.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Zacatecoluca branch, assisted the two people traveling in the vehicle. They were identified as Martiza Lisseth Pérez, 25, and Ulises Serpas, 27. Both sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

According to reports, the vehicle traveled several meters, rolling over until it became lodged in the rainwater drainage channel. Because of the rains that have fallen over much of the national territory in recent hours, drivers should take the necessary precautions to avoid road accidents.

The rains could continue over the next 24 hours, so motorists are urged to respect speed limits, as well as traffic signs.
