Fatality; roads are slippery, exercise caution when driving.

This morning, Mr. Miguel Antonio Martínez, 52, died in a tragic traffic accident. He was originally from Ahuachapán and was traveling from San Salvador along the Pan-American Highway near Termos del Río when he apparently lost control of his car and collided with a tree.

Units from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Ciudad Arce branch, arrived at the scene of the traffic accident, where they confirmed that the victim no longer showed vital signs.

Due to the rains, the roads become slippery, so drivers are asked to observe speed limits to avoid collisions.

Another accident was reported along the Prolongación de la Alameda Juan Pablo II near the Bodegas San Jorge, where a motorcyclist was struck by a car.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assisted the motorcyclist, who suffered trauma to various parts of his body and was therefore taken to the Seguro Social General.
