26 INJURED IN BUS ACCIDENT ON THE COASTAL HIGHWAY

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador’s Zacatecoluca branch assisted passengers this morning from route 153, which travels from Zacatecoluca to San Luis La Herradura, in the Departamento of La Paz.

The traffic accident recorded at kilometer 48 and a half of the old highway to Zacatecoluca, in the area known as “Los Cocos,” in Santiago Nonualco, has left most of the passengers with trauma injuries. They have already been transported by Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Policía Nacional Civil, and Cuerpo de Bomberos to Hospital Santa Teresa de Zacatecoluca.

So far, no deaths have been reported, nor are the causes known that led the driver of route 153 bus to leave the roadway and crash into some trees.
