Alexander Serrano, a veteran of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, gave away dinners on Thanksgiving night.

Alexander Serrano, a veteran of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador who resides in North Carolina, United States of America, delivered dinners to homeless people in Fayetteville.

Alexander Serrano, who wore the yellow uniform of Comandos de Salvamento for several years during the armed conflict that El Salvador went through, entered the lands of Uncle Sam in search of a better life.

Today he has become a permanent resident and put on the jacket of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador in order to deliver dinners to about 16 low-income families living under a bridge in the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Wherever there is a Comando de Salvamento, there is always a big heart willing to help others, especially on Thanksgiving Day.

Serrano has been supporting the volunteers of Comandos de Salvamento in El Salvador, sponsoring lunches or dinners for them, as well as helping during emergencies such as the Nejapa landslide, in which he provided food for the rescuers.

About 16 families benefited from the dinners.
