VICE MINISTER OF JUSTICE RECOGNIZES RESCUERS’ WORK

This post is also available in: Spanish Norwegian Bokmål French Chinese (Simplified) Japanese

Vice Minister of Justice Osiris Luna recognized the efforts of 15 young Comandos de Salvamento volunteers who participated in the rescue and recovery efforts of the seven people who died buried at kilometer eight of Santo Tomás, all members of the Melara Salamanca family.

A worthy recognition that, for the first time in history, a public official has given to young Comandos de Salvamento rescuers, since for three days they battled to locate the bodies of the Melara Salamanca family, an tireless struggle alongside other emergency-response organizations, firefighters, the army, and MOP.

An incentive that boosts the volunteers’ morale, as they sacrifice their time and leave their families behind in order to help others at all times. Many thanks, Vice Minister Osiris Luna.
