Japan’s ambassador delivered the vehicles to Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.

His Excellency Japan’s Ambassador, Taketoshi Sano, together with the Director General of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, Otsuru Tetsuya, delivered the three ambulances to Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.

During an event at the Masferrer Roundabout in Colonia Escalón, representatives of the Japanese Government officially handed over three ambulances designated for emergency response coverage.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assigned one of the new vehicles to the Juayúa branch in the western part of the country, where traffic accident emergencies are handled along the Ruta de las Flores.

Another ambulance was assigned to the Guazapa branch, which provides assistance for emergencies along the Troncal del Norte highway.

The last vehicle donated by the Japanese government was assigned to the San Miguel Tepezontes branch, in the Departamento of La Paz, where it responds to road incidents along the scenic route.

Roberto Cruz, executive director of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, thanked the Japanese government for the important donation, as these new ambulances will improve the fleet of vehicles that are already more than twenty years old and, in some cases, have scarce replacement parts needed to restore proper operation.
