ELDERLY WOMAN ATTACKED BY SEX WORKER AT PARQUE LIBERTAD

First responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assisted a woman in her seventies at noon today after she was attacked by an alleged sex worker near Parque Libertad, in the Historic Center of San Salvador.

María Esther Sales Alas, 71, who had accompanied her son to process his DUI, looked for some shade while the process was being carried out.

One of the women who allegedly offers sexual services in the area confronted the elderly woman and asked her to get off the bench because it was where she offered her services.

According to María Esther, she told the woman that she was only trying to rest while her son completed the procedure at the DUI Centro. Immediately afterward, the elderly woman was attacked by the woman, who began insulting her to the point of hitting her.

CAM agents managed to capture the attacker pending investigation. Meanwhile, María Esther was treated by first responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, who stabilized her and bandaged her wounds before she was taken to FOSALUD de San Jacinto.
