Responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador remove the body of a man who died after being run over by a bus in Mejicanos.

This morning, at around seven thirty, a motorcyclist died after being run over by a truck in Santa Ana. Responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador arrived at the scene, but the person was already showing no vital signs.

The fatal accident occurred on the road from Santa Ana to Chalchuapa, near the Los Naranjos roundabout, where the motorcyclist lost control because of oil on the roadway, causing him to fall. However, the truck was nearby and was unable to brake in time, running over the victim.

The victim was left for the judicial and prosecutorial authorities to identify.

In another incident, in the city of Mejicanos, the driver of a Route 23 bus ran over an approximately fifty-year-old homeless person while traveling along Primera Calle Oriente and Primera Avenida Norte in that city, north of San Salvador.

The victim ended up underneath the public-transport vehicle. Comandos de Salvamento volunteers removed the person so that the corresponding authorities could carry out the legally required identification.
