ONE DEAD AND TWO INJURED IN ACCIDENT IN ILOPANGO

Around eleven-thirty Monday night, an alert about a traffic accident on kilometer 10 of the Pan-American Highway left one person dead and two injured.Responders from Comandos de Salvamento, Ilopango branch, arrived at the scene of the traffic accident, where the driver of a minibus that transports company employees had collided with the rear of a trailer traveling from East to West.

The volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento rescued the minibus driver, identified as Rafael Antonio Chávez Escamilla, 53, from the twisted wreckage. He was taken to the Ilopango Social Security hospital for emergency treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he died.

Meanwhile, the injured people were identified as Juan Carlos Bonilla Rivera, 47, and Ada Betzabe Campos, 42; both were admitted to the Ilopango Social Security Hospital.
