Fifteen young people graduated yesterday from the basic first-aid course in the municipality of Sacacoyo, La Libertad, where its mayor, Mayra Zetino, made a facility and an ambulance available to Comandos de Salvamento to provide emergency services to the population.

Young people who have been trained to respond to emergencies in the municipality and who were sworn in by the Executive Director of Comandos de Salvamento, Roberto Cruz, committing themselves to serve their neighbors.

Licenciada Mayra Zetino and the members of her municipal council have made it possible for Sacacoyo to now have emergency service. Nataly Elizabeth López Escalante congratulated the new volunteers, whom she will provide with an emergency childbirth-care course.

The council members Joseeph Angelina Cerén de Veliz, Doris Pinera, Víctor Rodríguez, and Síndico Manuel Hernández attended the event; they supported and encouraged the new rescuers to continue expanding their knowledge so they can assist anyone in the population who needs it.
